Jerry Allen has over 20 years of aviation experience in Human Factors, Error Management, and Safety. He obtained a Bachelors degree in Aviation Science from the College of the Ozarks in 1984, and a Masters degree In Aviation Safety from Central Missouri State University in 1986. Jerry worked for The Boeing Company as a Human Factors Specialist and for three major U.S. air carriers, most recently as the Human Factors Manager for Delta Air Lines Technical Operations, before accepting a position in Australia working for the Australian Rail Corporation as a Human Factors and Error Management consultant. In addition to receiving two international awards for maintenance resource management (MRM) training and error investigation, Jerry has been published in numerous trade journals, conference proceedings, and in-house publications on the topic of human error and human error investigation. He is also a trained accident investigator, U.S. A&P mechanic, private pilot, and certified aircraft insurance adjuster.
